Adults. Infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug: respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, bronchitis; infections of skin and subcutaneous tissue; intra-abdominal infections, including peritonitis and biliary tract infections; gynecological infections; septicemia. Empiric therapy for febrile neutropenic patients. Prevention of postoperative complications in intra-abdominal surgery. Children. Pneumonia; urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis; infections of skin and subcutaneous tissue; septicemia; empiric therapy for febrile neutropenic patients; bacterial meningitis.
